About the Book:
Days on the lake are a Skye and Grandpa thing. They load up their tackle box, hop aboard their skiff, and chug out to their favorite fishing spot. Today, the sun is shining, the fish are jumping, but will Skye hook a big one?

Looks adorable! Both my kids have wonderful memories of fishing (and clamming!) off the beach in the CT town where I grew up. And my first published work was a short story about fishing with my dad! I asked the magazine to show the child as a little girl, but they illustrated with a boy. So thank you for helping to whittle down that stereotype!

Oh, yet another reason to love Fishing with Grandpa and Skye! Girls can enjoy fishing too! I have fond memories of the few times we went fishing. It wasn’t my dad’s “thing,” but we all went anyway and had a blast. Thanks, Janet, for stopping by!
