#Inktober52 January Drawings

Prompt: Fresh

#Inktober52 is a weekly ink drawing challenge, one ink drawing a week for the entire year, 52 weeks a year.

I know I could never do #inktober for October, it just gets too crazy when I try to do something EVERY single day. But I am excited and challenged by the #inktober52. I think I can manage 52 weekly drawings inspired by prompts from https://inktober.com/. The part about having a week to complete a drawing helps me out.

Jake Parker created Inktober in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year.”

Here are my January drawings.

Interested? I’d love to have you join the fun. No pressure. I’m learning as I go, mistakes and all.

I live with my husband and crazy kitty. Much of my time is spent writing, reading, and playing with the grands. You can usually find me sipping tea or coffee, nibbling on dark chocolate, and contemplating what to plant next in the garden. If not those pursuits, then I am probably trying to figure out how to cook and live in an RV, creating cards with rubber stamps, walking, hiking, or out snapping photos with my camera.

  1. I love all of your drawings, Angie. Doing one a week makes good sense so you have time to write and enjoy time with your grands.

    • Thanks, Pamela! It’s good for my brain. I think it refreshes my creativity, to look at things differently from my usual focus on words. It’s fun! Let me qualify that. It’s fun when I get an idea for the weekly prompt. Already, one week I didn’t figure it out until the next prompt came out. Yikes! 🙂

  3. I had no idea there was a weekly prompt. Doing one a day is difficult, but I always look forward to Inktober. Now I have something to do until then. Thanks!
