88 Cards and Loads of Fun

Ahhh, the fun of making rubber stamped cards. I do believe, with my “stash of supplies,” I could create for years and not need to purchase anything except double sticky tape. Not that that fact stops me from “just looking” and gathering more things I really need to make cards. wink wink

Check out those bad boys. 88 total, which is pretty good, considering there was plenty of playing, going out to eat yummy meals, social time, and kitty snuggles sprinkled throughout the weekend. Right, Alyson?

We have the mandatory helpers. Fur is a necessary attribute to qualify for the role of stamping assistant.

Floofy girl really got into the creative mood, but not wanting to slight either one of us, she spent time ensconced in both of our work spaces.

Was there a chalk rainbow on this kitty when she walked off? There were definitely at least tiny sprinkles of pretty dust floating in the air.

This pretty girl was happy on my lap. I must keep her warm and happy in order to craft. Kitty assistant rules must be upheld!

Did someone say lap time? Daisy definitely has the movie = lap time down pat. She loves it so much, we must have a blankie. Her claws help her resist being moved off of said lap when it’s bedtime.

And did I mention celebrations? Happy retirement, Alyson, from many of years of teaching! What will you do with all that free time? Stamp? Play pickleball? Snuggle kitties? Ahhh, what a life!

We celebrated at Queen Mary’s Tea Room & Restaurant. I’m adding the name right here so I don’t forget it. Bee Calm is a yummy herbal tea. Just right with honey and milk. Mmmm.

We had a very hot teapot!

We celebrated at Joey Kitchen. Crowns really help bring the party. Anyone who is celebrating needs to wear that crown.

And we celebrated with Thai, my must have anytime I’m in the Seattle area.

Happy retirement, stamping buddy and fellow crazy cat lady.

I live with my husband and crazy kitty. Much of my time is spent writing, reading, and playing with the grands. You can usually find me sipping tea or coffee, nibbling on dark chocolate, and contemplating what to plant next in the garden. If not those pursuits, then I am probably trying to figure out how to cook and live in an RV, creating cards with rubber stamps, walking, hiking, or out snapping photos with my camera.

Ah, what a beautiful reporting of an enchanting day of creativity and celebration with your friend. I love tea rooms and Thai, and if I ever retire from writing children’s books, I’d love a send-off like this with a dear friend. But children’s writers don’t retire…at least not this one!

LOL No, children’s writers get to keep creating forever! Thank you so much! Tea rooms are a favorite, and Thai! Mmmmm. I’m always on the hunt for tea rooms when I travel. Thanks for stopping by!
